We decided to take a weekend trip to Baltimore and spend time at Inner Harbor, and my parents came along. Trying to plan travel time, naps, etc. seemed like it was going to be more stress than fun, so we got hotel rooms for Friday and Saturday night. Unfortunately, we had some problems when trying to make the reservations (a not so helpful or kind representative). I ended up calling customer service so they could fix the mistakes, and they promised that we would have connecting rooms (that was my only real request). We were very excited when we arrived, because somehow one of the rooms was a suite. There was a nice sized fridge, a living room area and a large bedroom. It was nice to be able to have Aiden on one side of the privacy wall divider and our bed on the other. Aiden was in heaven when we got there and was running around playing with his cars. He especially loved the crib (until it was actually time to use it). Brian was in heaven, because the big screen TV turned and could be used for the living room or the bedroom. The other nice thing was that it connected with my parent's room. It was nice to have the doors open in the morning and at night so Aiden could run back and forth. After we got all settled into the room, we went to the indoor pool. Aiden had so much fun and didn't want to get out. I had a blast, mostly because he was having so much fun and wasn't afraid of the water.
We went to the National Aquarium on Saturday morning and I actually haven't been there since high school. I have to say that it was nice, but I actually liked the Camden Aquarium more. It was a little chilly outside, but the sun was shining and there wasn't any rain so we couldn't really complain. After the aquarium we walked around the harbor to the Maryland Science Center, and Aiden really enjoyed it there. There was a bunch of things that he couldn't do, but he liked everything that he could do. We realized it was getting late and after the science center we had a light lunch, then went back to the room for a much needed nap for Aiden. We had dinner at the ESPN Zone (Brian's choice) and then of course hit up the pool before bed. We had plans of trying the Baltimore Zoo on Sunday, but it was really chilly and we were all moving kind of slowly. So we decided the next trip will be to the Philly Zoo!
