One Month

Aiden turned one month old last Monday and it's so amazing to see how fast he changes. I actually can't believe that 5 weeks have passed since I delivered. He is beginning to get a personality and I love just watching his facial expressions wondering what he is thinking about. We have been back to the doctor and he has broken the 9 lb. mark! Everything checks out well, but the doctor is pretty sure he has significant reflux so we started Zantac. As a side note....what idiot decided that a liquid medicine for children should be mint flavored!!! As always I put pictures from some photo shoots!

New loves

Over the last week Aiden has found some new favorite things....

-His brand new bouncy seat (thank you Adrienne!)

-Making bubbles with his mouth

-He found Cousin Ben's old friend "Mr. Fan"

-And ME! Or so I would like to think, he has been focusing more though!

Bath

Last Saturday Brian and I gave Aiden his first bath in his little baby tub. I was surprised to find out that he actually really likes it! Sorry for the delay in the posts, but my computer was having some issues that we just got fixed. Below are some bath pics.......you know, the ones that totally embarrass the poor boy when he gets older!

Week #3

So this is my first week home alone all day with Aiden and I must say that it's going pretty well. The days are wonderful.... he eats, plays a little at times and takes wonderful naps. On the other hand, the nights are not so wonderful. I know this is all normal for a newborn, but slightly stressful. I swear he knows it's night, because it takes Brian and I a good 2.5 hours to finally get him to go to sleep! We have moved him to his room, because he is a very loud sleeper and I swear this is his way of rebelling. Hopefully things will start to get better, but in the meantime I am up for any suggestions!

Doctor Appointment

We have been back to see the doctor twice now since we have been home. Aiden had lost 10% of his birth weight in the hospital, so we had to go weekly to the doctor for weight checks. Luckily he has gained back the weight he lost in the hospital and is up to 8 lbs. 1 oz. now. His doctor is very happy with his gain, so the next check-up is his one month well-baby visit. I have included a few more pictures below....

Welcome Home

We were finally able to head home from the hospital the Tuesday after I delivered. Brian and I were both excited and a little nervous, since we would be without all the help from the wonderful nurses at the hospital. When we arrived at our house we were pleasantly surprised with stork in our front yard. As we moved inside, we saw that our wonderful family had decorated with "It's a Boy" decorations and tons of balloons (some of which were hidden in crazy places). It has been so great to have the love and support of friends and family!
