Christmas 2009

Aiden really didn't understand the concept of Christmas this year, but he really enjoyed the lights, tree and especially the train under the tree. Even though he really had no idea what we were doing, we still left cookies for Santa. In the morning we found an empty plate (with crumbs of course), an empty glass of milk and a note for Aiden. Brian also had us start a tradition of getting a picture of Aiden Christmas morning on the steps before coming downstairs to see what Santa has left for him. We started the morning with Aiden opening his stocking and then we all had breakfast. My parents came over as we finished breakfast and Aiden opened his gifts from "Santa" and from Grama and Grampa. Again, he didn't really show interest in opening, but he helped when I got the paper started and then enjoyed playing with the toys. It was a nice laid back morning and Aiden was so happy. He is really into Mickey Mouse and trains right now, so it was no surprise that his favorite toy is the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse train. It was so exciting for us to have Christmas with him this year, he was so happy all day and it put smiles on all of our faces!
