Happy Valentine's Day

Aiden had a busy Valentine's Day weekend. On Saturday he went to Grama and Grampa's house so that Brian and I could do dinner and a movie. They took him to visit his Nan, Pap and Aunt Andi. Then we went to church on Sunday and afterward we went to Uncle Joe and Aunt Kelly's for lunch and to play with Lizzie, Jackson and Hannah. Here are some pictures from our Valentine's Day photo shoot.

Growing

Aiden continues to learn new things each day and he continues to make us laugh. He has found his voice and makes this hysterical screeching/squealing noise and he has found his feet and tries his hardest to get them to his mouth. He loves peaches and applesauce, he loves bath time and his new tub friends and blowing bubbles. We also started working with him to get him to sit on his own and he actually does quite well.

Where does the time go?

I can't believe how big Aiden is getting already. He is rolling over both ways and I swear he is crawling at night in his crib when we aren't looking. I came across this thing called The 3-Day Sleep Solution and it worked like a charm. We had to stop swaddling, get rid of the swing and the pacifier and teach him how to fall asleep on his own. He is sleeping through the night now and taking 3 half decent naps during the day all by himself in his big boy crib. He has also been drooling a ton and I think he might be starting to get some choppers on the bottom. He and Chloe are also becoming a lot more interested in one another and it's pretty cute. Since he doesn't really use his pacifier anymore he just plays with it when we give it to him. He takes it out of his mouth, stares at it and then tries to put it back all by himself (and watch TV at the same time). He will be 5 months old already next week and Brian and I just can't believe it.

Aiden has been doing much better taking the cereal and we even tried some bananas and peas. We thought everything was going well, but the last two days he just seems to have been having a stomach ache. After talking with the doctor today we found out that the rice cereal may be causing the problem since he has the milk protein intolerance, and peas are soy based so they might also be a problem. Now we have to wait a few days for him to get back to normal and then just do fruits and veggies and wait on the cereal. This poor little guy....I hope he is able to grow out of this stomach trouble.

Aiden's first Christmas

4 months

Well it's hard to believe, but Aiden turned 4 months old yesterday. We went to the doctor today for his check-up and shots. He is growing well.... 12 lbs. 12 oz. (10th percentile) and 25 inches long (50th percentile). He seems to be doing much better with his new formula, but has still been having some trouble with his reflux. His doctor doubled his dose of prilosec last Friday and said we should see a big difference by next week. He is enjoying tummy-time a little more these days and is getting better at sitting by himself in his Bumbo chair. Yesterday he rolled over on his own (we got it on video, but I have no idea how to put that on here!) We also tried rice cereal today and you will be able to draw your own conclusions by the picture below as to whether he liked it or not.
