Cooper River Park

Aiden has been fascinated by sharks lately, so we planned a weekend trip to Jersey to spend time with Mom-mom and Pop-pop and visit the aquarium. Little did we know, there was some huge event on the Camden Waterfront and traffic was awful! We had to postpone the aquarium until Sunday, but Pop-pop knew of a fun park nearby and we went there instead. We also got to have a delicious dinner at The Cheesecake Factory

Last day....

Today was Aiden's last day of preschool. He learned so much in this first year and I can't believe it's already over! He loved everything about Jack & Jill, especially his teachers Mrs. Lively and Mrs. Krall. Thanks to Pinterest, I found some fun end of the year gifts for his classmates and his teachers!

Best Friends

Aiden's pre-school had an end of school picnic and he was so happy that his "best friend" Gabby was there! They enjoyed the ventriloquist act together and even shared a cupcake!

Yard work

Easter 2012

Another Pinterest idea was to plant jellybeans the night before Easter and then put lollipops in the ground so the child thinks they "grew" overnight. We modified and just scattered the jellybeans instead of planting and Brian found lollipops in the shape of flowers. Aiden was so excited to see what the magic beans had done when he woke up! Aiden got a T-ball set from my parents, so we went outside to try it out. It was very windy when we went out, so we also decided to fly our first kite. Such a fun day for all of us.

"Kool" Eggs

I recently became a huge fan of Pinterest and have gotten lots of fun ideas. Last year's egg dying was a huge failure, because I didn't realize we need vinegar to make the colors bright. This year we used Kool-Aid since I saw a post on Pinterest and it looked very simple. I was amazed at how well it worked and obviously it smelled much better than vinegar. Purple and yellow didn't work too well, but all the other colors worked great!

Our first hike

After we finished the egg hunt at Bounce U, we didn't really want to go home because it was such a beautiful day. I had seen a post on facebook about a friend of mine taking her kids on a hike. We went to Governor Dick in Mt. Gretna and decided to hike up to the watch tower. It was a much longer hike than I remembered, but it has been at least 15 years since I had been there. I also forgot that to get to the top you have to use ladders in a very small space. We watched from the outside, by decided to save the climb for another day. We hiked back to the car and got some pizza for lunch before heading home.
