Disney's Magic Kingdom

We spent a couple days at The Magic Kingdom since it had the most for Aiden. He was fascinated by the castle and wished he could go inside. It was decorated everywhere with fall colors and things for the special Halloween events. We made sure to hit all of the "must-do" rides like: It's A Small World, Tea Cups, Fast Track, Dumbo, Peter Pan, Astro Orbiter, Mickey's Philharmagic, and Big Thunder Mountain. They wouldn't let Aiden do Splash Mountain, so we'll do that next time! We also made sure we got good spots for the Electric Parade and the Wishes Fireworks.

We had dinner at Crystal Palace and Aiden met the characters from Winnie the Pooh. He was even lucky enough to lead the parade in the restaurant with Pooh holding his hand! He also got to ride the monorail for our character breakfast at Chef Mickey's. They had the BEST breakfast ever.....I would go back just for that! He was so excited to get the one-on-one time with each character as they came to the table while we ate.

Disney's Animal Kingdom

We got Animal Kingdom bright and early, because we wanted to get right on to the safari ride. We lucked out and didn't have a very long wait time. It was a perfect ride and we got to see a lot of animals. I think Aiden's favorite part was "digging for bones" in a play area. It was really hot that day and the play area was shaded and very cool, so we didn't mind hanging out there! We also had a character brunch at The Tusker House. This featured Mickey, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy all dressed in safari outfits. Each character would stop at every table for autographs and photos and Aiden was in heaven (especially with Mickey).

Disney's Hollywood Studios

Aiden enjoyed meeting some of the Pixar characters at Hollywood Studios. Mike and Sulley from Monster's Inc. were the first two characters he saw and was a little unsure at first, but he got much better as he would see more. One morning we had a special breakfast in the backlot area "Prop Shop" and got to be the first group to ride "Toy Story Mania" - we all had a blast. Apparently the wait for this ride is out of control and fast passes are sold out by noon, so we were glad to be the first ones on that day.

Disneys All-Star Movies Resort

We stayed at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort for the week. We were hoping to be in the Toy Story area, but ended up getting The Love Bug. We walked down to visit the Toy Story though, and Aiden loved the larger than life Buzz and Woody!

Aiden had his own bed and the hotel was kind enough to provide bed rails for him. As he collected his stuffed animal friends he would add them to his bed. Each day when we got back to the room, the maid would have everything lined up at the rails on his freshly made bed.

Walt Disney World 2011

We left for the airport bright and early on October 2, 2011. We were all heading to Disney for Aiden's first time! The plane left at about 8am from Reading and arrived in Orlando around 10am. We were all so excited to get to one of the parks, but we had to catch the Magical Express bus from the airport to the hotel and then check-in. It seemed like it took forever..... but luckily our rooms were ready! We all freshened up, re-grouped, then headed for Hollywood Studios!
