Mommy the Photographer

We went to the Conrad Weiser Homestead on Monday so I could try to take my own pictures of Aiden. They have some really nice scenery and I thought it would be a nice backdrop for the photos. I was actually pretty proud of how a lot of the pictures turned out, and would like to go try it again.

Smith Playground

After the museum, we tried out Smith Playground and it was AMAZING! It was by far the best playground I have ever seen and I wish it was closer to our house. They had so many pieces of equipment that I have never seen before and a special area designated for the under 5 year olds. I can't wait to go back and be able to spend a little more time there (maybe in some slightly cooler weather).

Please Touch Museum

Brian was busy helping his parents with some work in their new house this past weekend, so my parents and I decided to take Aiden to the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia. There was so much to see and do, and he really seemed to enjoy himself. He had the most fun with the "bricks" at the construction section. He would have spent the entire day getting the bricks out of the bin and putting them down the shoot if I would have let him. He also really enjoyed the water tables and the supermarket. We are definitely going to go again so Brian can see everything in person.

Fort Indiantown Gap

Aiden absolutely loves planes and helicopters. My parents watched him Friday night and decided to take him to Fort Indiantown Gap to see some up close. They said he had a blast, and Brian and I wished we would have seen him. We are definitely going to have make another trip there!

Washing dishes

Aiden likes to "wash dishes" all the time now using his new stool. I know the fun of washing dishes will wear off when it becomes an actual chore, but for now it's pretty cute to watch!

Aiden's 2nd Birthday

I can't believe it, but Aiden turned two years old today. We had family and friends over yesterday for a party and Aiden had a blast playing with all his cousins. The party was Disney's Cars theme (Aiden's choice) and we even got a cake with his favorites "Queen and Mater." My parents came over today and we made dinner and had some ice cream cake. I also saved a few presents for him to open since today was his actual birthday. We had a lot of fun all weekend and I wish I could freeze this point in time, or at least slow time down!

Mini Golf

We told Aiden that we would go mini-golfing today if it wasn't raining and we were lucky enough to get a break from rain around 11am. Of course Aiden thought we were going to the beach to play, since we talked about going when we were on vacation, but never got a chance. Aiden got bored after about 5 holes and never gave anyone more than one shot (he thought it was fun to pick up everyone's balls and just drop them into the hole). He was way more interested in the running water all around the course and the puddles on the greens from the morning rain.
