The Park

My mom had vacation this week and offered to watch Aiden so I could pick up some extra hours at work. Today is my only day off with him and we lucked out and got some gorgeous weather. Aiden and I ran to the bank and then on the way back we stopped at the park across from our house. We haven't been there yet this season and it was a lot of fun. Aiden is getting so much better at using the handrails and walking up the steps on the playground. He is also getting much better at the slide. They have a side by side slide and he is actually able to sit by himself and get started down the slide. I go next to him and he just puts one hand onto my leg and we slide down together. Since he is much more of an adventurer this year, I couldn't get pictures of him playing on the equipment, just playing in the grass. Hopefully we will go back over when daddy gets home and then we can get some good pictures.

Nice Weather #2

Today was supposed to be warmer than yesterday, but it was a little more chilly since there was more wind. We didn't care, because we all wanted to play outside. Today we brought out Aiden's power-wheels, bubble mower and a ball. He played with each thing a little bit, but still really enjoyed just walking around and listening to all the sounds (cars, birds, dogs, etc.). We took a walk around the neighborhood before coming inside for lunch. By the end of the walk Aiden got a little tired, so he hitched a ride with daddy!

Nice Weather #1

Yesterday was a beautiful day, so we played outside for a little after lunch. Daddy took him for a ride around the neighborhood in his car and when they got back we all played in the yard for like 45 minutes. Aiden enjoyed exploring all the trees, bushes and the grass. It was like a whole new world to him since he wasn't able to walk last summer. His favorite things to do were play with bubbles and run down the hill and fall into daddy's arms. Oh yes, and he was also fascinated with sunglasses and left them on almost the entire time we were outside.

Cabin Fever

I really think cabin fever psychosis has set into Aiden today. He has been hyper and hysterical all morning and has been running from room to room playing with whatever he can get his hands on. Probably the funniest has been him using the remote controllers as phones and walking all around the room talking in jibberish. He has also mastered "The Face" (seen below) that he uses when he wants something or when he is doing something he isn't supposed to be doing. I think today has been one of his funniest days yet!

Blizzard (February 10, 2010)

Well, this is the most snow I have seen in Lebanon for quite some time. We got about 15" last weekend and got about 19" yesterday. Brian and I both got called off from work, so we had a family snow day. Before lunch we all got bundled up to go out and see how deep it was and take a few pictures. It was snowing pretty hard and blowing, but Aiden still had a blast. All he wanted to do was sit in the snow and "smash" it down with his hands. Thankfully, my dad brought his snowblower over later in the afternoon and Brian and I cleared the driveway. We are having another family snow day today and loving every minute of it!

Elmo

My parents got Aiden this Elmo sweatshirt and matching pants for Christmas. Today is the first he has worn it and I thought he looked adorable, so I took some pictures (notice he is way more interested in the choo-choo's then he is with having his picture taken).
