Happy 1st Birthday Aiden!

Saturday was Aiden's first birthday and we had a party at our house for him. We had a great time with family and friends. We were lucky enough to have the rain hold off during the party so people could be outside as well as inside. Aiden tried his first hot dog, but put most of it inside his party hat rather than eating it! Giant also gave us a free mini cake for Aiden to "mess with" and he did just that. He pretty much just played in the icing and then decided he was a big boy and could eat the cake right off the fork. By the time present opening rolled around he was pretty cranky and in need of a nap, but we made it through without any huge melt-downs. We are very appreciative of everything and Aiden is really enjoying his new big boy toys! Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special for him!

Visit with Ryan

Two weekends ago, Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop Reif stopped by for a quick visit and they had baby Ryan with them. Aiden loves babies and was kind enough to lay still next to Ryan so I could get a few pictures.

Aiden's First Haircut

I decided today was the day to finally get rid of Aiden's mullet. We went to the Kidz Cutters place in Lancaster and he did great. Less than a month until his first birthday.....I can't believe it!

Photo Shoot

I decided to get Brian a professional picture of Aiden in this outfit for his birthday, but The Picture People didn't have any appointments. So, I decided to try my own little photo shoot until we could get in with the professionals. Lets just say that neither the lighting in my house or Aiden would cooperate. This is like the best picture I got of him sitting still and looking at the camera (with awful shadows). The professional shots turned out wonderful and Brian was excited. Notice the second picture.....this must be how Aiden really felt during the photo shoot. Like "Mom, I said stop taking my picture!!"

The Boardwalk

Aiden had even more fun on the boardwalk than he did on the beach. I think he just liked watching all the people and looking at all the lights. We stayed up until like 10 or 11 each night and he did amazing....I think he would get his second wind around 9. The last night was a little chilly, so that's why he is all bundled up in the last picture.

The Beach

My parents were kind enough to take all of us to the beach last week and we had a blast. We headed to Ocean City, Maryland for 3 nights and Aiden actually did really well with the 4 hour trip. We walked down to the ocean when we first got there since our rooms weren't quite ready, and then spent the rest of the afternoon at the pool. The next two days we spent the afternoon at the beach....Aiden wasn't a huge fan of the sand, but really enjoyed his little pool. Below are beach pictures from our 3 days.
